What a grade earns

A monthly price is capped by the grade the pack earned. A steadier pack carries a higher ceiling.

Monthly price ceiling by grade, for per-work-area pricing.
GradeMonthly ceiling
SUncapped
AUncapped
B$199
C$99
D$29
Note. A free pack has no ceiling. An ungraded pack carries a provisional price, and the price is clamped to the ceiling when the grade arrives.

What review checks

A pack moves through four states on its way to the library, and every transition is written to an append-only review record.

The states a pack passes through.
StateWhat it meansWho moves it
DraftThe author is iterating. The pack is unlisted. The author.
In reviewThe author submitted. The pack waits in the review queue. The author.
PublishedApproved. The pack is listed and installable.A reviewer.
RejectedDeclined, with the reason on the record. The author may resubmit.A reviewer.

Safe by default. Only a published pack is listed, and only a published pack can be installed. A pack that never passed review is unreachable from any work area.

Publish a version

  1. Run the harness and read the grade.

  2. Set the price within the ceiling the grade allows.

  3. Submit for review.

The pack moves to in review and appears in the queue.

  4. Read the decision.

An approval lists the pack. A decline carries the reason, and you may resubmit.
